The Client requested his own logo so he could put it on his kimono for jiujitsu.
Jiujitsu is a Japanese martial art so the illustration is completed in japanese style.
The Client associate himself with a lion so I decided that it will be a good idea to put japanese emperor armor on the lion. Moreover, a lion is a king of animals and it will inspire the client for success in jiujitsu.
The Lion looks like a japanese demon - Oni, to scare client's opponents.
The nickname of the Client is Mason so I put it in front of the illustration and put his name and last name underneath the nickname. Also, as the nick name is Mason you can find mason sign on the helmet.
Characters on the background mean judo and jiujitsu. The Client used to do judo so I put these characters together and it's represented in dawn colors because Japan is the land of the rising sun.
The client can use this illustration not only for kimono but also as a print for t-shorts and hoodies, as a stickers and etc.
