Client: TEDx Volhonka street
Brief: Create a minimalistic and precise piece of visual communication for the independently organised TED lectures at Volhonka street. The topic is «Doomed to progress. Paradox of progress»
Outcome: Progress (Latin progressus - forward movement, success) - the direction of development from the lowest to the highest, the forward translational movement. The opposite is regression. The paradox of progress is that no matter how far we advance in one area, we will always retreat in another. The society creates and wants to use the iPhone, but ore mining and metallurgy pollute the atmosphere catastrophically. The invention of the computer has revolutionized the breakthrough, thereby depriving the typists of work. Robotics replaces people in production, neural networks take out the human intelligence, demonstrating the uselessness of human labor. The future is doomed to development moving forward step by step, throwing us back and turning creativity into destruction thereby confirming the truth - the more we progress, the more we regress.
